Since long time it has been pointed out by the DAMA collaboration that muons
surviving the Gran Sasso mountain cannot mimic the Dark Matter annual
modulation signature exploited by the DAMA/NaI and DAMA/LIBRA experiments. In
the present paper, these and further arguments are gathered together in order
to enable a wider community to suitably approach this point.
